What is Smith Music Studio...?

notes Smith Music Studio of Howell, New Jersey is a new and exciting way for children and adults of all ages to learn to Sing or to Play the Piano.

Lessons take place in the privacy of your home, creating a very convenient and comfortable learning environment. Students can be any age...in fact, Mrs. Smith will even teach adults...!

Students are taught using a personalized one to one instruction model. Lessons are individually designed for the student, creating an optimized learning environment.

So who is Mrs. Smith...?

Mrs. Smith is a music teacher in the Howell Township school system. She has been working in Howell since 2004 and has taught general music and chorus in the Adelphia, Greenville, and Southard schools. Mrs. Smith loves teaching music to children!

Mrs. Smith has formal training and experience which make her a great teacher for one to one lessons. She holds the following degrees in music or education:

  • Bachelor in Music, Vocal Performance — Marywood University (Scranton, PA)
  • Bachelor of Science, Music Education — Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA)
  • Master's degree in Special Education — Georgian Court University (Lakewood, NJ)

Mrs. Smith has been a resident of Howell Township since 1991 and has lived in the Ramtown section of Howell since 2001. She is currently vice president of the Howell HS Music Parents Association. She has been both a cantor and choir member at St. William the Abbot church for many years, where she is also the Music Director of the Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Smith is an active member of the Howell Township Education Foundation (HTEF).

Instruction Rates...

30-minute Private Piano Lesson......$30 each or $100 for 4-week pre-pay

30-minute Private Voice Lesson......$30 each or $100 for 4-week pre-pay

Family packages are available...!

Mrs. Smith requests that cancellations be given with 24-hours notice.

Mrs. Smith recommends a weekly lesson, though there may be some situations where a bi-weekly lesson is more appropriate. However, it's important that the child practice a couple of hours during the week, working on the assigned materials.
